We dig into these a little more below:

* Bifidobacterium breve BR 03 AF (21%) – Protects colon function, alleviates constipation, and reduces gas, bloating, and diarrhea. Additionally, it stimulates your immune system, inhibits E. coli, and suppresses the fungus Candida. B. breve has proven effective in reducing oral candida in the elderly. This helps prevent the spread of candida to other areas of the body, like the gut. Many cases of Irritable Bowel Disease may be a result of a Candida infestation. Research shows that this bacteria strain could be helpful in reducing intestine irritation and allergic responses in animal models. B. breve also shows action against antibiotic-associated diarrhea, a common issue for people receiving large doses of antibiotics. The main job of B. breve is to ferment sugars and produce acetic and lactic acid. It can digest plant fibers that are typically thought of as non-digestible, perhaps the main reason why B. breve is so helpful for supporting digestion.

* Lactobacillus rhamnosus LR 05 AF (16.8%) – Helps prevent diarrhea, IBS, and restores balance into the stomach and intestines

* Lactobacillus paracasei LPC 00 AF (2,1%) – It’s key for digestive function, boosting the immune system, and even energy levels. One study even showed that the strain could be helpful for fighting infections. It could be a natural approach for infant diarrhea. There’s also a promising study examining its effectiveness for relieving symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome.

* Lactobacillus plantarum LP 01 AF (0.84%) – Immunity Benefits, fight burn infections (topical), strengthen your immune system, decrease frequency of cold/flu, decrease length/severity of cold/flu, accelerate burn healing, fight fungal infections, reduce pancreatic sepsis (infection), stimulate immunity in HIV children, reduce postoperative infection, reduce pneumonia risk, decrease inflammatory response (produce Th2, decrease Th1/Th2 levels), reduce symptoms and aid healing of multiple traumas among injured patients, lower risk of kidney stone, reduce blood pressure

* Bifidobacterium bifidum BB 01 AF (0.42%) – Attaches to intestinal lining to help digest foods, mostly sugars and fibers. Also helps in maintaining the       immune system and general intestinal health

* Bifidobacterium longum BL 03 AF (0.42%) – Can help reduce gastrointestinal discomfort caused by stress. May also attenuate anxiety and possible reduce the risk for colon cancer. The best feature of this particular probiotic is its ability to soothe irritation in the body. Much like many of the strain’s brothers and sisters, B. longum can be found in fermented foods.

* Bifidobacterium adolescentis BA 02 AF (0.42%) – May increase folate concentration in calonic environment. Protects colon against inflammation and cancer. Can help in gene cancer therapy by targeting tumors and not healthy organs or cells by delivering endostatin gene to the tumor. Increased immune response in the host and inhibited the growth of the tumor (mouse study).

* Lactobacillus acidophilus LA02 AF (42%) – Improve Blood Pressure & Cholesterol, Fight Viral, Bacterial & Fungal Infections, Improvement of Infant Conditions, Nutritional Benefits, Reduce Allergy Severity, Help Digestive Conditions

* Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BS01 AF (8%) – Helps with immunity. Decreased influenza in the winter and the amount of antibiotics needed. It doesn’t typically adhere to the intestines but works as it is going through the system as it is found in fecal matter as opposed to intestinal biopsies.

* Streptococcus thermophilus YO8 AF (8%) – Improve digestion, reduce antibiotic associated diarrhea, decrease ulcerative colitis symptoms, decrease leaky gut symptoms, improve lactose digestion, decrease IBS symptoms, decrease acute diarrhea, enhance immunity, prevent & fight upper respiratory infections (eg. pneumonia), prevent ulcers caused by H. pylori, decrease AIDS symptoms, fight Clostridium difficult, increase immunity, improve non-breast-fed infant probiotic flora, reduce symptoms of atopic dermatitis, decrease chance of kidney stones, increase HDL (good cholesterol), increase anti-tumor activity.
